Officer Szczesniak is a life long resident of Conesus Lake and is a graduate of the Geneseo Central School. Officer Szczesniak attended the Police Academy at the Monroe County Police Training Center in 1992 and was hired by the Geneseo Police Department in 1993.
Officer Szczesniak serves the Department as a Field Training Officer, NYSPIN/EJustice TAC officer, TraCs TAC officer, DARE officer, School Resource Officer (SRO), PR24 Instructor, Background Investigator, Bike Patrol, General Topics Police Instructor, Public Relations/Presentations Officer, Child Safety Seat Technician.
Officer Szczesniak has been trained/certified in many area’s of Law Enforcement including: Interview & Interrogation, Standardize Field Sobriety Testing (SFST), DARE K-12, School Resource Officer, Radar, First Responder, Firearms, TASER, PR24, TraCs, Child Safety Seat, Underage Drinking Enforcement, Bike Patrol, Fraudulent document Detection, Missing and Exploited children, Sexual assault/Abuse investigation.
Officer Szczesniak worked as the DARE/SRO at the Geneseo Central School for nine years and in 2002 was awarded the General Douglass MacArthur Youth Award for his exemplary work with the youth of Livingston County. Officer Szczesniak is currently assigned to the Road Patrol. Officer Szczesniak is also a past president of the Police Officers Union.
Officer Szczesniak lives on Conesus Lake with his wife and four children.
