Officer David Beers Minimize
Officer Beers is a full time patrolman for the Geneseo Police Department. Officer Beers has been in this position since July 1, 2008. Prior to that Officer Beers has had almost 17 years of Law Enforcement experience. Officer Beers received a BA in Criminal Justice and Sociology with a minor in Psychology from SUNY Brockport.
Officer Beers started his career in the Rochester Police Department and worked his way up to the rank of Detective Sergeant, which placed him in charge of all the investigators and major cases on the East side of the City. Officer Beers was a coordinator for the City's STOP DWI Program, and was part of the Investigator Assesment Course which was designed to train and choose new Detectives. In January 2007, Officer Beers moved to the Mt. Morris Police Department where he worked for a year and a half.
Officer Beers has had extensive training throughout his career in all fields including: Field Training, Crime Prevention, Advanced Crime Prevention, School Resource Officer, Police Investigations, Advanced Investigations, Police Supervision, DWI Detection, Drug Detection, and is also a Certified Child Safety Seat Technician.
Officer Beers enjoys all sports in his off time including coaching basketball.
